History

May 1978 - Nichiei Corporation and Delta Motor Company established a joint venture Delta High Steel Process, Inc. (DHPI) in Pasong Tamo Ext, Makati City.

February 1991 - Nichiei Corporation acquires all the shares of Delta High Steel Process, Inc.'s stocks.

July 1991 - DHPI established a machining department for crimping dies and precision jigs at Paraday St. Makati City. Pasong Tamo Ext. factory closed.

1992 - Delta High Steel Process, Inc. changed the company name to Nichiei Pilipinas Inc. (NPI).

1995 - NPI established Philippine Precision Tehnology, Inc.(PPTI) to manufacture and sell crimping dies and jigs.

March 1995 - Purchased factory site of PPTI at Carmelray Industrial Park 1, Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna and started building it's factory.

June 1, 1996 - PPTI started operation at Carmelray Industrial Park 1.

October 2004 - PPTI will becomes the cooperating company of Hitachi Metals Tool Steels Ltd. 

April 2005 -  NPI transfers all the manufacturing and sales of tools steel of PPTI. NPI becomes a land holding company.

March 2010 - The holding company in the Philippines is renewed; Akitron International Corporation 61% and Hitachi Metals Tool Steel Co. Ltd. 39%.

January 2018 - Akitron International Corporation acquired the shares of NPI from Hitachi Metals Tool Steels Co., Ltd.
